Forensic Accounting Staff Accountant

Location: Los Angeles, CA, US; in-person position. Candidates who do not currently reside locally must be willing to relocate to the Los Angeles area before starting employment.

Salary: $55,000–$75,000 annual

What you will do

• Maintain, organize, and manage case-related documents and financial information.
• Review client and third-party documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Analyze bank statements, investment records, tax returns, financial statements, and other financial documents.
• Prepare schedules, summaries, workpapers, working files, declarations, and supporting documentation.
• Support court proceedings, settlement conferences, research, and other forensic accounting engagements.
• Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and experienced forensic professionals while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Basic understanding of financial statements, accounting records, and tax returns.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, integrity, and discretion with confidential information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under deadlines and learn quickly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred; 3+ years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.

• QuickBooks experience.
• Previous experience in accounting, forensic accounting, litigation support, law firms, or professional services.
