Projects Engineer II (Automation)

Salary: $76,080–$114,120 per year

What you will do

• Execute capital projects, including equipment upgrades, machine and production-cell designs, and major plant improvements.
• Define project scopes, source equipment, oversee installation and construction, and prepare capital estimates.
• Develop equipment specifications, commissioning plans, processing parameters, and operating instructions.
• Lead automation and continuous-improvement initiatives while supporting safety, environmental, and sustainability programs.
• Troubleshoot equipment, develop permanent solutions, and manage contractors, construction resources, and professional services across multiple project phases.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• 3–5 years of production and project experience with automated processes in discrete manufacturing.
• Strong technical, engineering, written, verbal communication, project leadership, and prioritization skills.
• Hands-on ability to start up new equipment and processes and train others.
• Successful background screening and a valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or federally compliant passport.
• Ability to work regularly at the company office or work site and perform required physical and environmental duties; Government Secret Clearance may be required.
