Location: Georgetown, Delaware, United States; may require travel to customers’ homes or business locations.

What you will do

• Interview applicants and analyze income, assets, debts, credit data, and financial objectives.
• Assess creditworthiness and issue pre-qualification statements regarding borrower eligibility.
• Recommend suitable FHA, VA, conventional, and other residential mortgage programs.
• Develop mortgage business through customer outreach and relationships with Realtors, builders, developers, and the local community.
• Negotiate loan terms, promote additional bank products, and represent the bank at community events and seminars.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, mortgage origination procedures, regulatory requirements, and the SAFE Act.

Requirements

• Associate degree and at least 2 years of sales experience, or a combination of at least 4 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience including 2 years of sales experience.
• Thorough knowledge of FHA/VA regulations, conventional loan requirements, and real estate law.
• Proven sales ability and strong mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers at all income levels and with colleagues.
• Ability to work independently, manage details through completion, and meet critical time constraints.
• General knowledge of personal computers and software used by the Residential Mortgage Department.
