Regional Water/Wastewater Treatment Lead

Location: San Antonio, Texas, serving San Antonio and South Texas. Hybrid work environment with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

• Build, lead, and mentor water and wastewater treatment professionals across offices and disciplines.
• Help grow the treatment practice in San Antonio and South Texas alongside regional client service leaders and technical teams.
• Develop relationships with municipal and utility clients and pursue strategic projects through capture planning, proposals, and interviews.
• Lead or oversee planning, design, construction administration, technical reports, plans, and specifications for water treatment, wastewater treatment, reuse, and advanced treatment projects.
• Manage multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client expectations.
• Collaborate on advanced treatment technologies including MBR, EBPR, membrane treatment, reverse osmosis, desalination, and potable and non-potable reuse.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Texas Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain Texas licensure within six months.
• Significant municipal water and/or wastewater treatment experience, including facility planning, design, and construction.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary projects, teams, or technical programs.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Interest in client development and continued growth of the treatment practice in San Antonio and South Texas.

Nice to have

• 8+ years of relevant water and wastewater treatment experience.
• Experience managing complex treatment projects with engineering fees of $1 million or greater.
• Experience developing client relationships, pursuing new work, and mentoring engineers and technical staff.
• Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Established relationships with municipal and utility clients in San Antonio or South Texas.
