Salary: $24.388β$30.485 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

βs Office of Sponsored Programs administers externally funded research proposals and awards for federal, state, and private sponsors.
What you will do
- Manage the full lifecycle of outgoing subawards, from issuance through closeout.
- Draft, negotiate, execute, and amend subaward agreements.
- Review award terms, flow-down provisions, federal regulations, sponsor requirements, and institutional policies.
- Maintain electronic records for a portfolio of more than 400 subawards representing over $31 million in Fiscal Year 2026 expenditures.
- Coordinate invoice review, compliance activities, registrations in SAM.gov, and monthly FFATA financial reporting.
- Provide guidance and training to faculty, administrators, and research staff, and support audits and sponsor reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in business, finance, management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with administrative and accounting principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to build effective working relationships and communicate professionally with faculty, staff, and sponsor representatives.
- Experience using computers and software such as Outlook, Excel, and Word, as well as databases and the internet.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience with Banner and SmartBuy MSU.
- Experience administering externally funded research grants and contracts.
- Familiarity with state and federal regulations, including OMB Uniform Guidance.
