Summer 2027 Application Analyst Intern (FinTech)

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States; onsite at 626 Washington Place. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; employment-based visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Document application workflows, functional requirements, system architecture, use cases, user guides, support procedures, and training materials.
• Support banking platforms for lending origination, CRM, incentive management, loan operations, and credit risk.
• Shadow application testing, configuration, and deployment activities.
• Monitor application performance, report issues, and apply basic troubleshooting techniques under supervision.
• Gather and analyze data for small-scale projects and technology enhancements.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to improvements in customer experience and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Official enrollment in an undergraduate bachelor's program in information technology, computer science, business information systems, finance, accounting, marketing, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of software application lifecycle management and data concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, adaptability, attention to detail, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a secure, regulated environment with attention to data privacy, compliance, integrity, and risk management.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment-based visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SQL, data analysis, or basic programming through coursework or personal projects.
• Knowledge of relational databases and banking concepts such as deposits, loans, or digital banking.
• Exposure to cloud or on-premises deployment tools and enterprise IT environments.
• Previous internship or academic project experience in system support, application development, or data analytics.
