What you will do

• Produce and present weather and news reports across multiple platforms.
• Report, shoot, write, and edit stories from beginning to end, including reporting three days per week.
• Respond to breaking and severe weather events and other urgent newsroom situations.
• Write daily local forecast stories for the web and publish content on social media.
• Coordinate weather programming and collaborate with the weather team on comprehensive coverage.
• Participate in promotional activities and interact with viewers through social media.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Entry-level to two years of experience in weather presentation and reporting is preferred.
• Ability to shoot video, perform non-linear editing, and write complete stories.
• Strong understanding of meteorology and a proven track record of forecasting.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ENPS.
• Proficiency with Barron’s Radar.
