What you will do
- Build and validate machine learning models for risk scoring, transaction classification, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and customer behavior analysis.
- Prepare structured and unstructured datasets from internal banking systems.
- Support model deployment in secure on-premises and cloud environments using Python, Docker, and internal APIs.
- Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and compliance teams on regulatory and operational standards.
- Document model development processes, assumptions, and performance metrics.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and monitoring of deployed models.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate bachelor's program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Familiarity with Python and machine learning libraries such as Scikit-learn, Pandas, and NumPy.
- Basic understanding of supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques.
- Exposure to Git and Docker.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, time-management, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to work in a secure, regulated U.S. banking environment with data privacy and compliance requirements.
Nice to have
- Internship or academic project experience in AI/ML or data analytics.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of banking operations or financial services.
- Experience with cloud, on-premises deployment tools, or enterprise IT environments.
