Clinical Care Technician, CCT (Medical/Surgical ICU)

Location: Tufts Medical Center; rotating day and overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays

Pay range: $20.12–$25.15 per hour based on full-time equivalent

What you will do

• Assist registered nurses with direct patient care and delegated clinical tasks.
• Support activities of daily living, mobility, positioning, comfort measures, and patient safety.
• Collect, document, and communicate clinical data, specimens, and patient concerns.
• Prepare rooms and equipment for admissions, transfers, discharges, and procedures.
• Transport or accompany patients, act as a sitter when requested, and respond to call lights.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs, connect monitoring equipment, maintain biomedical equipment, and prepare medication-free IV tubing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology.
• Ability to provide age-appropriate patient care and handle confidential information.
• Ability to lift 30–35 pounds, turn patients, and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Computer experience with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Nice to have

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA) certification.
• Completion of Nursing Fundamentals in an accredited nursing program.
• One year of experience as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Assistant, Critical Care Technician, or Patient Care Technician.
• Acute care experience.
