Location: On-campus in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA; some hybrid/remote schedule flexibility is available. Applicants must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
Salary: Minimum starting salary of $45,000 per year; final compensation depends on qualifications and experience.

What you will do
- Provide front-line support to prospective, current, former, and graduate students, families, alumni, and campus community members.
- Answer questions across undergraduate admissions, the registrar, financial aid and scholarships, and bursar or student account services.
- Facilitate student transactions and provide general information through a seamless, student-focused service experience.
- Act as a triage point for complex enrollment issues and escalate cases to the appropriate specialists.
- Resolve student issues end to end while supporting recruitment, retention, and graduation goals.
- Attend meetings, events, and functions on and off campus, including occasional weekends and evenings.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 5 years of customer service experience, or an associate degree and 3 years of experience, or a bachelor's degree and 1 year of experience.
- Exceptional customer service, oral and written communication, public speaking, and clear writing skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data, make independent decisions, work in a team, and perform in a fast-paced customer-oriented environment.
- Legal authorization to work full-time in the United States without requiring employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree and 1 year of customer service experience.
- Experience in higher education, especially enrollment, admissions, financial aid, registrar, or bursar/student accounts.
- Knowledge of higher education, enrollment services, student development, and University of Tennessee policies and procedures.
