Senior Revenue Accountant (eCommerce)

Location: On-site in North Dallas, Texas. Applicants must be US citizens or Green Card holders.

Salary: $95K–$110K per year

hirify.global operates an e-commerce business with revenue and inventory accounting needs that scale with its growth.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day revenue accounting, including deferred revenue, returns, refunds, chargebacks, promotional discounts, and related journal entries.
• Perform monthly reconciliations across sales channels and payment processors and resolve discrepancies under U.S. GAAP and ASC 606.
• Prepare COGS and inventory journal entries, reconciliations, valuation analyses, and cut-off procedures in partnership with Operations.
• Analyze month-over-month revenue and margin variances and provide explanations to management.
• Prepare financial reporting workpapers, support 10-Q and 10-K filings, and respond to external audit requests.
• Support close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, internal controls, SOX compliance, and process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or public company exposure.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and hands-on ASC 606 revenue recognition experience.
• Experience with e-commerce, retail, or inventory-driven businesses, including payment processors, sales tax, and revenue accounting flows.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, COGS, inventory accounting, audits, and external auditors.
• Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail, organization, and cross-functional communication.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience with NetSuite, revenue recognition automation tools, or ERP revenue modules.
• Experience in a newly public or SOX-compliant company environment.
• Familiarity with chargebacks, returns, and promotional accounting in a high-volume retail environment.
