Coating Team Manager - D Team (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Painesville, Ohio, USA. Full-time rotating 12-hour night shift from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am, including designated weekends.

Salary: $68,400–$102,144 per year

What you will do

• Supervise daily coating and finishing production outputs, performance metrics, and operational execution.
• Spend at least 50% of each shift on the manufacturing floor supporting production.
• Lead, coach, and counsel approximately 15–20 hourly team members while creating development and training plans.
• Facilitate Tier I operational reviews, update visual metrics, and drive corrective actions for safety, cost, losses, and productivity.
• Conduct safety audits, investigate near misses and accidents, and promote compliance with safety standards.
• Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Process Engineering while maintaining 5S and good housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Direct supervisory experience, including timekeeping and team coaching.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour night shifts and designated weekends.
• Leadership skills with experience troubleshooting operational issues, performing root-cause analysis, and implementing sustainable technical solutions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills for collaboration with a diverse workforce and production leadership.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9000, TS 16949, or Six Sigma.
