Job Coach - Part-Time

Location: Portland, Oregon, USA; onsite support and travel between employment sites within the Portland metro area

Salary: $22/hour

What you will do

• Provide one-on-one workplace training and teach clients how to complete job tasks.
• Use prompts, cues, mentoring, and personalized support to develop independence and positive work and life skills.
• Monitor, document, and report client progress, challenges, and work performance.
• Help clients set goals, overcome barriers, and communicate with employers and coworkers.
• Provide job-search assistance, interview preparation, and resume support when needed.
• Maintain workplace safety and assist with personal care and mobility support as required.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of prior Job Coach experience or 1+ year working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle required; this is a driving position.
• Availability for day and evening shifts, both Saturday and Sunday, and 20 hours per week.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, email, and basic data entry.
• Ability to meet all Oregon State Department of Human Services requirements.
• Strong communication, advocacy, patience, compassion, independence, and adaptability.
