Software Engineer (AI)

Location: US - Foster City, CA; hybrid with at least 3 days in the office. Travel required 5–10% of the time.

Salary: $97,800–$152,100 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Design, develop, implement, and unit test secure, high-quality software applications.
• Build full-stack solutions across backend services, databases, queries, APIs, and frontend interfaces.
• Develop next-generation data platforms and robust, scalable, concurrent, and low-latency systems.
• Apply generative AI and LLM frameworks to coding standards, engineering practices, and application projects.
• Manage multiple high-impact LLM-based projects and measure productivity improvements with relevant metrics.
• Collaborate with architects, systems analysts, project managers, and developers on requirements, architecture, code reviews, support, and product roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Python, and related technologies.
• Experience with distributed, scalable, concurrent, and low-latency systems.
• Ability to realize the potential of LLM-based AI frameworks and work on concurrent AI and non-AI application projects.
• Experience with databases such as DB2, MySQL, or NoSQL data warehouses such as HBase.
• Experience with Agile and Test-Driven Development environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with generative AI, big data, and UI technologies.
• Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, Git, Selenium, or Chef.
• Background in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
