Assistant General Manager (Retail)

Location: Soho Men's store, New York, NY; fully on site

Salary: $70,000–$85,000 per year

What you will do

• Support the General Manager in maintaining efficient store operations and a welcoming, motivating store culture.
• Own assigned operational processes and act as the liaison between the store and HQ business partners.
• Oversee store hiring, facilitate staff training, and create development plans with the General Manager and HQ partners.
• Help the management team achieve performance goals, execute standard operating procedures, and improve customer satisfaction.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, scheduling, payroll, store administration, facilities, vendors, and maintenance.
• Lead store visits and support inventory counts, merchandising initiatives, product knowledge, and brand education.

Requirements

• Fully onsite availability at the Soho Men's store in New York, NY.
• Open and flexible availability for evenings, overnights, weekends, holidays, special projects, and product releases.
• 4–5 years of management experience in a customer-facing role and 4+ years of retail or apparel operations experience.
• 4+ years of experience leading managers and/or supervisors.
• Strong communication, delegation, multitasking, business math, accounting, and computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, and point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to lift and move 25 lbs and perform physical retail duties, including prolonged standing, walking, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders or step stools.
