Mechanical Supervisor, Spl/Var (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Coordinate preventative maintenance and daily mechanical troubleshooting with operations teams and contractors.
• Oversee mechanical maintenance activities, plant improvement projects, and contractor performance to minimize production downtime.
• Review mechanical specifications and engineering drawings and assist Maintenance Engineers with engineering documentation.
• Participate in mechanical equipment procurement, including visits to equipment manufacturers.
• Lead mechanical problem-solving, recommend improvements, and develop training packages for employees and contract staff.
• Maintain repair records, equipment folders, standard work orders, and SAP-based work order schedules.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience managing rotating equipment in a chemical plant.
• Practical knowledge of chemical plant maintenance practices and mechanical codes.
• Experience with maintenance management in the chemical process industry, preferably in a high-volume continuous environment.
• Strong face-to-face communication and contractor coordination skills, including the ability to work with senior personnel and operators.
• College diploma or above, basic English proficiency, hands-on learning ability, teamwork orientation, and the ability to work under pressure.
• Required certificates: personnel qualification for hazardous chemical production enterprises in Shanghai and special equipment management.
