SIU Field Investigator (Fraud Investigation)

Location: Must be located in Fort Worth, Texas, United States; duties are generally performed in the field, at auto repair facilities, or at business locations.

Salary: $34.60–$44.01 per hour base salary. An additional annual salary range of $34.60–$53.93 is also stated in the posting.

What you will do

• Investigate suspected insurance fraud and other illegal activities against the company.
• Interview parties and witnesses, take statements, conduct database inquiries, and locate sources of information.
• Gather and evaluate evidence, assess credibility, draw conclusions, and document investigation files.
• Refer and coordinate assignments with outside investigative agencies.
• Provide training and support to departments involved in the claims-handling process.
• Perform investigations in indoor and outdoor environments, auto repair facilities, business locations, and vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of claims adjusting, P&C SIU/fraud investigation, relevant fraud-industry investigation, or 4 years of prior investigative law enforcement experience, including military service.
• Experience handling in-person or phone statements and gathering evidence for investigations.
• Ability to organize and prioritize a heavy claims workload, handle stressful situations, and work with minimal direct supervision.
• Valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and ability to obtain and maintain required certifications and permits.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, climb around vehicles, drive for extended periods, and work in adverse weather, lighting, and noise conditions.

Nice to have

• Four-year degree or higher.
• SIU experience across diverse teams and multiple fraud investigation areas, including auto, property, bodily injury, commercial, marine, workers' compensation, financial, casualty, and underwriting fraud.
• Experience handling complex fraud cases or fraud rings.
• Knowledge of public record systems, claims and policy databases, and related professional designations such as CIFI, CFE, FCLA, or CPCU.
