What you will do

  • Lead the development, maintenance, and application of quality control systems for processing materials into finished products.
  • Oversee complex inspections, testing, and evaluations of product precision, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Conduct production-process audits and maintain comprehensive quality documentation and records.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and management teams to resolve quality issues and implement improvements.
  • Perform root cause analysis, establish corrective actions, and ensure compliance with industry, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Mentor and train quality assurance staff and use advanced inspection tools to verify product specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent relevant experience; without a degree, at least 13 years of related experience is required.
  • 9+ years of progressive product assurance experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001, AS 9100, DCMA, and government requirements and standards.
  • Ability to interpret technical electrical and mechanical drawings, parts lists, and test procedures.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance; U.S. citizenship is required for employment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly, stand for extended periods, handle small parts, and work in a noisy environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Quality assurance certification, such as an ASQ certification.
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry.
