Location: Hatsudai, Tokyo, Japan; substantial national and international travel may be required.

What you will do
- Develop respiratory and rhinology therapeutic area plans for alliance immunology products.
- Lead medical strategies and timelines for product boards, lifecycle management, Phase IV activities, investigator-initiated studies, publications, and training initiatives.
- Align Japan medical plans with global and regional medical functions and communicate program updates, risks, and mitigation actions.
- Lead financial planning, forecasting, prioritization, milestone tracking, and reporting for medical activities.
- Supervise and coach MSL managers on KOL mapping, engagement plans, execution, performance metrics, and KPIs.
- Drive operational best practices, process improvements, and collaboration with commercial, regulatory, global medical, and external partners.
Requirements
- MD in internal medicine and/or an advanced degree such as a PhD in life sciences is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of related industry experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese are required.
- Experience with strategic planning, cross-functional leadership, global medical affairs and R&D environments, pharmaceutical commercialization, and regulatory processes is highly preferred.
- Strong facilitative leadership, analytical, problem-solving, financial, operational, project, and timeline management skills.
- Ability to manage external consultants and vendors while respecting regulatory boundaries for non-promotional activities.
