Base compensation: $153,600β$210,600 annually

What you will do
- Lead the design delivery of major airfield projects for commercial, regional, and general aviation airports.
- Manage multidisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, planners, aviation specialists, and specialty consultants.
- Coordinate airside design through programming, concept and schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, delivery strategies, and client expectations.
- Coordinate design meetings, technical submissions, quality assurance, constructability reviews, phasing strategies, and implementation planning.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies while coordinating with airport stakeholders, airlines, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs or masterβs degree in Airfield Planning, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience delivering complex airside or airfield design projects.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams on complex aviation projects.
- Strong understanding of airfield planning, architectural design, operational requirements, and airfield layouts.
- Proven ability to manage project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and stakeholder expectations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, including coordination with airport authorities, airlines, tenants, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Nice to have
- Registered Architect or Professional Engineer license.
- Experience delivering projects for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey.
- Experience with large hub airport redevelopment programs valued in the hundreds of millions or billions of dollars.
- Experience with Design-Build, Progressive Design-Build, CMAR, or Public-Private Partnership delivery models.
- PMP certification.
