What you will do
- Coordinate workers' compensation claims from initial injury reporting through resolution and closure.
- Act as the primary liaison among clients, injured employees, insurance carriers, adjusters, medical providers, payroll, HR, and internal stakeholders.
- Explain claims procedures, reporting requirements, return-to-work programs, available resources, and participant responsibilities.
- Coordinate claim documentation, wage reporting, communications, and return-to-work activities.
- Monitor claim progress, participate in client claim reviews, and support efficient claim resolution.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting, analyze claims history and loss trends, and maintain required certifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Risk Management and Insurance, or a related field preferred.
- At least four years of experience in claims management or a related field.
- Working knowledge of workers' compensation claims processes, return-to-work programs, and claim resolution practices.
- Bilingual Spanish language ability is required.
- Strong organization, analytical, problem-solving, judgment, communication, customer service, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to perform sedentary activities while sitting and standing for long periods.
