Maintenance Technician II (AM Shift) (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Perform scheduled, preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance on plant electrical and mechanical systems.
• Install, repair, adjust, inspect, and test equipment and components.
• Diagnose equipment problems and verify system faults using electrical test equipment, software, and computer-controlled systems.
• Use work-order systems to document maintenance activities and requisition parts and materials.
• Read and manipulate ladder logic in PLCs and other controllers while performing intermediate troubleshooting and repairs.
• Coordinate with machine operators and maintenance colleagues while following safety and 5S standards.

Requirements

• Equivalent combination of education and experience; an associate degree in industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical, electro-mechanical, automated manufacturing, or electrical engineering technology is preferred.
• 3–5 years of relevant training and experience with mechanical and electrical maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and document simple and complex machine malfunctions.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, diagrams, drawings, blueprints, schematics, maintenance manuals, and ladder logic diagrams.
• Ability to perform welding, fabrication, and machine-shop tasks related to maintenance and repair.
• Must follow and enforce safety policies and procedures. Effective verbal and written communication and customer service skills are also required.
