TL;DR
Senior .NET Architect (Azure): Leading end-to-end solution architecture for P&C insurance modernization programs spanning forms, data platforms, and AI initiatives with an accent on enterprise architecture, cloud-native microservices, and integration design. Focus on defining scalable API-led and event-driven patterns, transforming legacy systems, and guiding executive stakeholders and distributed engineering teams.
Location: Peoria, Illinois, USA; hybrid with 3 days onsite

What you will do
- Own end-to-end solution architecture across forms modernization, data platform, and AI programs.
- Define target-state architecture, integration patterns, system interactions, and scalable API-led and event-driven designs.
- Lead architecture reviews, design governance, modernization initiatives, and legacy system transformation.
- Guide .NET, microservices, Azure, REST API, messaging, data platform, and AI/ML architecture decisions.
- Advise client leadership, translate business needs into technical roadmaps, and present architecture to executive stakeholders.
- Mentor engineering teams and coordinate with Delivery Managers on feasibility, timelines, budgets, risks, and dependencies.
Requirements
- 15+ years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- Strong P&C insurance domain experience covering policy, billing, and claims is required.
- Expertise in enterprise architecture, distributed systems, .NET, cloud-native architecture, Azure, API design, and integration frameworks.
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and understanding data platforms and AI-driven solutions.
- Excellent executive-level communication, stakeholder management, and client engagement skills.
- Ability to work hybrid from Peoria, Illinois, with 3 days onsite.
Nice to have
- Experience with GhostDraft, Coherent, Duck Creek, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB and DevSecOps practices.
- Experience with onshore-offshore delivery models and client-facing architecture in consulting or services organizations.
