Procurement Manager (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Develop and execute procurement and sourcing strategies for manufacturing facilities, operational functions, and major capital investment programs.
• Direct procurement for greenfield, brownfield, expansion, remediation, facility design, construction, startup, and operational readiness projects.
• Lead sourcing and contracting for process equipment, utilities, manufacturing systems, laboratory equipment, automation systems, construction packages, and engineering services.
• Negotiate and administer EPC, EPCM, construction, engineering services, equipment, automation, digital systems, maintenance, and operational support contracts.
• Manage supplier quality, qualification, audits, performance, corrective actions, supply continuity, and critical-material inventory optimization.
• Lead procurement teams and deliver budget performance, savings, cost avoidance, total-cost-of-ownership improvements, and working capital gains.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, construction management, operations management, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, materials management, or commercial management experience.
• At least 8 years of experience leading procurement organizations or large procurement teams.
• Experience leading procurement for major capital projects exceeding $500 million in total installed cost.
• Proven success negotiating complex commercial contracts and managing strategic supplier relationships.
• Experience working with global suppliers and international project teams.

Nice to have

• MBA or advanced degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• CPSM, CPSD, PMP, CIPS, CPM, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, cell therapy, gene therapy, vaccine, biologics, API, sterile manufacturing, or other GMP-regulated environments.
• Knowledge of GMP operations, FDA, EMA, MHRA, commissioning, qualification, validation, startup, lifecycle management, and regulated-industry compliance programs.
• Experience developing supplier quality programs and supporting pharmaceutical facility development, expansion, remediation, or operational readiness.
