What you will do
- Oversee daily site operations for earthwork projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, plans, specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Coordinate workforce, equipment, materials, schedules, and project needs with General Superintendents and field crews.
- Schedule and monitor subcontractors to ensure contracted work is completed correctly and on time.
- Lead safety activities, including hazard-awareness meetings, stretching sessions, toolbox talks, and corrective actions.
- Inspect field work and materials, review technical drawings and manufacturer documentation, and maintain quality standards.
- Manage, mentor, train, evaluate, and address performance issues for lead personnel and field staff.
Requirements
- Two to five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, reports, policies, and legal documents.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, clients, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and business associates.
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad, and iPhone.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check; union affiliation or willingness to join the union is required.
Nice to have
- OSHA 10-hour certification.
- OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, excavating safety, blueprint, CPR, or First Aid training.
