Salary: $17.78/hour for Dental Assistant I, $19.56/hour for Dental Assistant II, or $21.51/hour for Dental Assistant III; compensation is commensurate with experience.

What you will do
- Prepare patients and treatment rooms, assist during dental procedures, and provide chairside support to graduate students.
- Schedule patients, coordinate chart retrieval, process financial transactions, and respond to student and patient inquiries.
- Anticipate suction and retraction needs during four-handed dentistry procedures.
- Apply infection control, disinfection, and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and local policies.
- Prepare dental instruments, materials, and operatory setups for clinical procedures.
- Operate dental radiographic equipment and assist with oral photography and treatment records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Dental Assistant II requires at least 2 years of experience performing dental assistant duties.
- Dental Assistant III requires at least 4 years of experience as a registered dental assistant in a private practice, clinic, or dental training program.
- Registered Dental Assistant license in the state of Texas required.
- CPR certification required.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, standardized procedures, radiographic equipment, infection control, and aseptic techniques.
