Location: Dallas, Texas, United States; onsite

Salary: $17.78/hour for Dental Assistant I, $19.56/hour for Dental Assistant II, or $21.51/hour for Dental Assistant III; compensation is commensurate with experience.

What you will do

  • Prepare patients and treatment rooms, assist during dental procedures, and provide chairside support to graduate students.
  • Schedule patients, coordinate chart retrieval, process financial transactions, and respond to student and patient inquiries.
  • Anticipate suction and retraction needs during four-handed dentistry procedures.
  • Apply infection control, disinfection, and sterilization procedures in accordance with OSHA and local policies.
  • Prepare dental instruments, materials, and operatory setups for clinical procedures.
  • Operate dental radiographic equipment and assist with oral photography and treatment records.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Dental Assistant II requires at least 2 years of experience performing dental assistant duties.
  • Dental Assistant III requires at least 4 years of experience as a registered dental assistant in a private practice, clinic, or dental training program.
  • Registered Dental Assistant license in the state of Texas required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, materials, standardized procedures, radiographic equipment, infection control, and aseptic techniques.
