Marketing Attorney (Insurance)

Location: Bethesda, MD; Cleveland, OH; or New York, NY, with hybrid work three days a week.

Annual salary: $135,300–$235,750.

What you will do

• Review and advise on consumer-facing marketing and advertising content.
• Provide legal guidance on SMS, email, outbound calling, consent collection, opt-out requirements, and preference management.
• Review advertising claims, disclosures, testimonials, endorsements, influencer content, promotions, and sweepstakes.
• Deliver clear, practical, business-focused legal advice to marketing stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in good standing.
• 4–8 years of legal experience, preferably supporting advertising, marketing, consumer protection, or communications compliance matters.
• Strong working knowledge of advertising law, TCPA, CTIA carrier rules, and CAN-SPAM.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States without new employer sponsorship is required; hirify.global will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization.

Nice to have

• In-house or law firm experience supporting marketing and advertising matters.
• Experience in insurance, financial services, telecommunications, or another highly regulated industry.
