Senior Director & Actuary (Life Insurance)

Location: Milwaukee, WI Corporate, United States; hybrid/onsite

Salary: $160,000–$240,000 per year

What you will do

• Provide and supervise actuarial research and analysis for product pricing, dividend setting, reserve levels, mortality, morbidity, persistency, and field compensation.
• Identify and solve actuarial problems related to company operations.
• Advise Senior Management on actuarial and insurance-related matters.
• Monitor developments in actuarial techniques, research, laws, and regulations.
• Provide guidance to officers and department members within the area of expertise.
• Represent the department or company on internal, industry, or professional committees.

Requirements

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation.
• At least seven years of significant actuarial experience.
• Substantial knowledge of a broad range of actuarial subjects and insurance practices.
• Ability to manage interdepartmental projects and direct officer-level subordinates.
• Knowledge of company, industry, and regulatory practices and procedures.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and risk evaluation skills.
