Location: Onsite at Ardent - UKH St. Francis in Topeka, Kansas; candidates must reside and be authorized to work within the United States. Schedule: 6:00 PM–6:30 AM with rotating alternate weekends.
Salary: $17.00–$18.15 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do
- Perform admitting and pre-registration duties for hospital patients.
- Assign medical record numbers, process physician orders, collect demographic and insurance information, and provide patient instructions.
- Verify insurance eligibility, select plan codes, enter benefit data, and support point-of-service collections and clean claims.
- Screen medical necessity using ABN software and distribute required Medicare, Tricare, observation, consent, and patient education forms.
- Operate the hospital telephone switchboard and provide compassionate customer service.
- Audit patient accounts, correct documentation issues, and report quality and statistical data to Patient Access leadership.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of customer service experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
- CRCR certification required within 6 months of hire; certification is company-paid.
- Ability to work onsite in Topeka, Kansas, and reside and be authorized to work in the United States.
