Director, Analyst Relations

Location: San Jose, California, with a secondary office location in Irvine, California

Salary: $199,500–$266,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and scale the analyst relations program across storage, AI infrastructure, cloud, and data management.
• Own the analyst relations calendar, including briefings, inquiries, debriefs, evaluations, and conference participation.
• Manage relationships with Gartner, IDC, Omdia, Forrester, and other influential technology research firms.
• Prepare executives and subject matter experts for analyst engagements through briefing materials, messaging, Q&A preparation, and coaching.
• Synthesize analyst research and market coverage into competitive intelligence, positioning insights, and narrative risk reports.
• Develop paid relationships with enterprise technology influencers and build the internal infrastructure, measurement framework, and budget for the program.

Requirements

• 10+ years of analyst relations experience at a global enterprise technology company.
• Deep familiarity with the enterprise analyst ecosystem and relevant technology coverage areas.
• Experience leading at least one major evaluation, such as a Magic Quadrant or Wave, from start to finish.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical topics into compelling narratives.
• Executive-level presence and experience working with senior leaders, including the CEO and CPO.
• Bachelor’s degree in communications or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
