Shift Supervisor (Bioethanol Production)

Location: On-site in Arthur, IA, United States. The role follows a 12-hour continuous shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

What you will do

• Supervise plant technicians and bioprocessing operations during assigned shifts.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate plant operations while optimizing runtime, downtime, efficiency, and product quality.
• Make process decisions, including shutting down the plant when necessary, and coordinate responses to operational problems.
• Maintain and operate plant systems including boilers, cooling towers, water chemistry, DCS controls, and related equipment.
• Coordinate maintenance, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, documentation, and safe shift handovers.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop team members while promoting safety, environmental compliance, and quality standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; secondary education preferred.
• Production or operations experience required; ethanol production experience preferred.
• Three years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs.
• Problem-solving, critical-thinking, interpersonal, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work on-site in Arthur, IA, on a 12-hour schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice to have

• Secondary education.
• Operational experience in ethanol production.
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience.
