What you will do
- Manage daily site activities to meet safety, design, budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Direct lead personnel and field staff, coordinate workforce and equipment needs, and address performance issues.
- Schedule subcontractors and monitor their work against contractual requirements.
- Conduct job hazard awareness meetings, stretching sessions, toolbox topics, and safety training activities.
- Maintain daily logs, equipment and material schedules, time cards, and documentation for safety incidents, damage, and injuries.
- Participate in pre-construction planning and regular job-site meetings, while responding to customer and regulatory inquiries.
Requirements
- Two to five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- OSHA 30-hour certification, HAZWOPER, excavating safety, blueprint training, CPR, and First Aid credentials; OSHA 10-hour certification is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret policies, reports, plans, specifications, legal documents, and technical diagrams.
- Ability to communicate and schedule project needs with management, employees, vendors, and business associates.
- Ability to use Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, iPad, and iPhone, and apply mathematical concepts to field quantities.
- Union affiliation or willingness to join the union, a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, a pre-employment drug test, and age 18 or older are required.
