Equipment Maintenance Technician (Electrical/Mechanical)

Location: Columbus, Nebraska, United States. Onsite, 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 3:30 p.m.–12:00 a.m.; overtime may be available as needed. Applicants must qualify as U.S. Persons under ITAR/EAR requirements.

What you will do

• Perform periodic maintenance on assigned manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment.
• Dismantle, adjust, repair, and assemble equipment using blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and drawings.
• Prioritize machine repairs according to production demands and coordinate with production supervisors.
• Use diagnostic and test equipment to check equipment condition and verify repairs.
• Record repair actions and completed assignments in the maintenance program.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in Industrial Electro/Mechanical Systems Maintenance or five years of equivalent experience.
• Training in electrical/electronic theory and mechanical systems maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and equipment maintenance documentation.
• Ability to quickly diagnose malfunctions and restore equipment to operating condition.
• Ability to use appropriate tools and test equipment, perform manual repair work, and manipulate loads of at least 30 lb.
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment and follow OSHA electrical and machine safety practices.
