Senior Civil Environmental Engineer

Location: Hybrid role in Rochester, New York, USA. Travel required up to 10%.

Annual compensation: $120,000–$175,000, plus an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Perform scientific and engineering analyses under the guidance of a Senior Principal Engineer.
• Develop investigation and remediation work plans, corrective action plans, contract documents, specifications, drawings, and final reports.
• Prepare project layouts, graphical presentations, permit applications, and technical reports.
• Conduct field inspections, reconnaissance, contractor oversight, demolition and remediation monitoring, and soil and groundwater sampling.
• Manage project budgets, hours, timelines, client communications, and status reporting.
• Support business development through scope development, fee estimation, proposal generation, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year program.
• 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in New York.
• Advanced knowledge of regulatory standards, environmental compliance, and environmental engineering principles.
• Experience with field sampling, inspections, data collection, QA/QC, data reporting, synthesis, and analysis.
• HAZWOPER certification must be completed and maintained.
