Focus on developing decision-making metrics, realigning program funding, improving financial planning systems, and managing obligations and reconciliations.
Location: Washington, DC / Rosslyn, VA area; on-site schedule required
Salary: $116,000β$124,000 per year

What you will do
- Research prior-year submissions, contracts, expenditures, and current financial data to conduct variance analysis.
- Coordinate data calls, meetings, and spending reviews with Program Offices to establish fiscal-year requirements.
- Develop leadership metrics, reports, charts, narratives, and budget justifications.
- Maintain execution plans, allocate funding, manage obligation trackers and undelivered obligations, and support funding authorizations.
- Run monthly reports, review invoices, reconcile planned versus expended funding, and perform other reconciliation tasks.
- Work with software developers to improve the financial planning and execution system.
Requirements
- 7+ years of related work experience and a BA/BS degree.
- Knowledge of Federal, Departmental, and Bureau budgetary principles, regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Experience using computer-based programs to track and analyze financial information; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking, communication, customer service, and independent and collaborative work skills.
- Must be eligible to obtain a Secret clearance and upgrade to a Top Secret clearance as required.
