Focus on coordinating district pilots, improving teachers’ and principals’ practices, monitoring implementation, and solving emerging challenges in the Indonesian education system.
Location: North Kalimantan, Indonesia. Full-time national position open to Indonesian nationals and permanent residents with authority to live and work in Indonesia.

What you will do
- Build and maintain relationships with education authorities, development organizations, universities, disability organizations, and other district stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration, policy alignment, and evidence-based use of disaggregated education data.
- Support supervisors, principals, and schools in improving instructional leadership, teaching quality, and student foundational outcomes.
- Coordinate district-level pilots covering curriculum and assessment, literacy and numeracy, character education, GEDSI, and climate change.
- Plan, monitor, and report on activities, budgets, work plans, and implementation progress.
- Address emerging challenges through problem-solving and innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a relevant Master’s degree is preferred.
- At least three years of experience in educational development programs within non-profit or development organizations.
- Understanding of teaching, learning, instructional leadership, and the Indonesian education system.
- Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
- Fluency in written and spoken Indonesian is essential.
- Indonesian nationality or permanent residency with authority to live and work in Indonesia is required.
Nice to have
- Experience with DFAT or another development agency, especially in the education sector.
- Basic proficiency in English.
