Chief Information Officer

Location: Fully remote within the United States; occasional in-person meetings at the hirify.global office may be required. Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $155,000–$190,000 annually, commensurate with experience; exceptional compensation may be considered.

What you will do

• Lead the organization-wide technology strategy, roadmap, architecture, standards, procurement, and budget.
• Oversee cloud productivity platforms, CRM and donor systems, AWS infrastructure, web properties, finance and HR systems, and the employee device fleet.
• Direct information security operations, including identity and access management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, backups, monitoring, and phishing defenses.
• Own incident response, breach-related communications, security awareness training, and cybersecurity control testing.
• Develop data governance, privacy, compliance, third-party risk, business continuity, and disaster recovery programs.
• Manage the Director of Technical Systems, external providers, and the IT support function, including BoldDesk ticketing and service-level metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, information security, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of progressive IT and/or information security experience, including at least 3 years in senior leadership with organization-wide accountability.
• Experience owning enterprise technology stacks, cloud platforms, CRM or donor systems, public cloud infrastructure, identity and access management, and endpoint management.
• Experience with cybersecurity programs, risk management, incident response, security frameworks, data privacy, governance, and compliance.
• Experience managing IT service management or ticketing platforms, technical staff, vendors, and managed service providers.
• Must reside in the United States, hold existing US employment authorization, and not require visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Nonprofit, education, or public-sector experience, including familiarity with grant compliance and funder data requirements.
• Experience in a fiscal sponsorship environment.
