Lead Technology Product Manager (AI Clinical Decision Support) (AI/Healthcare): Building AI-enabled clinical decision support experiences for UpToDate that help clinicians ask questions, navigate evidence-based content, and reach trusted answers faster with an accent on discovery, experimentation, and responsible AI. Focus on translating complex clinical needs into measurable product capabilities, validating user direction, and balancing usability, clinical trust, technical feasibility, and business value.

Location: Chicago, IL, USA; applicants may be required to appear onsite at a hirify.global office during the interview process.

Salary: $118,300.00–$207,400.00 USD annually, plus bonus eligibility.

What you will do

  • Drive discovery and delivery for AI-enabled clinical decision support capabilities.
  • Translate clinician, customer, and business needs into requirements, experiments, roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.
  • Shape experiences that help clinicians ask questions, find relevant evidence, understand context, and move from question to action.
  • Partner with engineering, design, clinical, content, analytics, commercial, and customer-facing teams from discovery through launch.
  • Define success metrics for adoption, engagement, trust, satisfaction, workflow impact, and business value.
  • Balance customer value, usability, clinical trust, technical feasibility, speed, cost, and responsible AI considerations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience in healthcare, enterprise SaaS, content, search, workflow, or data-driven products.
  • Strong product discovery and execution skills, including customer research, experimentation, roadmap development, and metrics-driven decisions.
  • Experience turning complex customer problems into intuitive product experiences, clear requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to make sound product decisions in ambiguous, complex, and regulated healthcare environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience with AI-enabled, search, content, knowledge, or decision-support products.
  • Understanding of generative AI, retrieval-based systems, recommendation systems, workflow automation, or applied machine learning.
  • Experience with clinical decision support, healthcare content, point-of-care tools, or professional-information products.
  • Familiarity with human-in-the-loop workflows, responsible AI, model evaluation, transparency, evidence grounding, or trust and safety.
