What you will do

  • Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements across multiple business units, sites, and bargaining units.
  • Advise operational leaders, HR partners, supervisors, and union representatives on contract interpretation, discipline, investigations, scheduling, overtime, and workforce changes.
  • Conduct investigations and support grievance resolution through labor-management meetings, mediation, and settlement negotiations.
  • Prepare grievance responses, labor correspondence, management briefs, arbitration documentation, and case summaries.
  • Support collective bargaining, effects bargaining, MOAs, MOUs, successor contract transitions, and implementation of ratified agreements.
  • Provide labor relations training and help develop enterprise policies, procedures, templates, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Employment Law, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive labor relations experience in unionized environments.
  • Experience administering collective bargaining agreements, handling grievances and investigations, and managing labor-management relations.
  • At least one year of experience as a chief negotiator and experience handling 10 or more collective bargaining agreements.
  • Knowledge of the NLRA, Service Contract Act, FLSA, and related federal labor and employment regulations.
  • Strong investigative, analytical, organizational, communication, conflict-resolution, and confidentiality skills, plus proficiency with Microsoft Office, HRIS, labor tracking, and case management systems.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or advanced labor relations certification.
  • Arbitration and mediation experience.
  • Experience in government contracting, defense, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, logistics, aviation maintenance, or similarly regulated industries.
  • Experience supporting large, geographically dispersed unionized workforces and government-contract workforce transitions.
