Focus on designing Kobo Toolbox questionnaires, managing field data collection, applying panel regression and propensity score matching, and producing validated survey reports and presentations.

What you will do
- Review programme, MERL, results-chain, indicator, and implementation materials.
- Design and document baseline and outcome survey methodologies, sampling strategies, work plans, questionnaires, qualitative tools, and analysis plans.
- Recruit, train, and supervise experienced enumerators for quantitative and qualitative data collection.
- Conduct a baseline survey of 700 intervention farmers and an outcome survey of 1,500 farmers, including 800 non-intervention comparison farmers.
- Collect LGA-level input and crop-product price data through focus group discussions, and conduct KIIs and FGDs.
- Analyse and present findings, prepare baseline and outcome reports, update deliverables after review, and develop a comparative PowerPoint presentation.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in social sciences or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and technical writing skills.
- Evidence of at least one completed baseline survey in agricultural settings in Northern Nigeria.
- Evidence of at least two additional socio-economic or livelihood surveys in agricultural settings in Northern Nigeria.
- Experience with quasi-experimental designs, panel or comparative analysis, and propensity score matching.
- The consultant or senior consulting team members must remain in each state throughout data collection.

Hiring process
