IT Systems / Assistant Chief Engineer

hirify.global operates a television broadcast station requiring engineering and technical infrastructure support.

What you will do

• Assist with managing the Engineering Department and the day-to-day operation of station engineering activities.
• Maintain broadcast technology, transmitter-site equipment, station IT systems, building infrastructure, and the station vehicle fleet, including live satellite trucks.
• Coordinate fiber connectivity, production setups, A/V routing and patching, audio equipment, graphics systems, and editing systems.
• Evaluate, select, install, service, and maintain station equipment and information technology systems.
• Work with the Chief Engineer to implement new technologies and technical infrastructure.
• Manage engineering and technology capital projects within established budgets and coordinate maintenance and training with vendors and contractors.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience in a television broadcasting environment.
• Associate degree in Electronics, Communications, or equivalent education and work experience preferred.
• Fluent English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work extended hours when needed.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Avid-related software and hardware products.
