Application Engineer 3 (Implementation Consultant) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Tokyo, Japan; travel up to approximately 25%.

Salary: ¥8,447,400–¥12,000,000 JPY per year.

What you will do

• Deploy and configure hirify.global solutions in customer environments.
• Support implementation projects and integrate security products into SDLC and DevOps workflows.
• Gather customer requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide implementation support.
• Conduct product demonstrations, workshops, and knowledge-transfer sessions.
• Advise customers on best practices, onboarding, adoption, and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Product, senior consultants, and project leads.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, implementation consulting, technical support, or a related technical role.
• Understanding of software development methodologies and application lifecycle management.
• Experience with at least one of Java, C#, Python, JavaScript, or C/C++, plus familiarity with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
• Basic understanding of application security, secure development practices, CI/CD tools, and development workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in both Japanese and English; the role is based in Tokyo, Japan.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing enterprise software, SaaS applications, or cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with DevOps platforms and source control systems such as Git.
• Exposure to application security testing, vulnerability management, or software quality tools.
• Consulting, professional services, technical support, or security certification experience.
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
