TL;DR
Software Engineer II (Rails/React): Build and evolve reliable, scalable full-stack services and web applications with an accent on API design, data modeling, and end-to-end feature delivery. Focus on designing solutions across frontend and backend components, improving performance and reliability, and applying secure coding, testing, observability, and operational practices.
Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, Georgia, United States, with office attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Expensed travel to Headquarters in Grand Rapids, Michigan is required every 6–8 weeks.

What you will do
- Build, design, and evolve reliable, scalable full-stack services and web applications.
- Design APIs and data models for product capabilities across frontend and backend components.
- Deliver end-to-end features through implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and technical partners on solutions integrating multiple services and domains.
- Improve code quality, security, accessibility, observability, performance, and operational reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software development experience.
- Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL, SQL, and REST APIs.
- Experience debugging, monitoring, and supporting production applications.
- Experience with Agile development, source control, CI/CD, testing, and code reviews.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with RSpec, Jest, or similar testing frameworks.
- Experience with Scrum or Kanban, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or similar cloud platforms.
- Experience integrating third-party APIs and implementing software design patterns.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional partners.
