What you will do
- Maintain and reconcile expense, revenue, and restricted accounts for assigned Student Life departments.
- Research and resolve accounts payable and accounts receivable discrepancies and processing issues.
- Process purchase requisitions, interdepartmental transfers, invoice payments, deposits, petty cash reimbursements, and receivable invoices.
- Verify procurement card statements and initiate vendor requests through PaymentWorks.
- Assist with financial reports, monthly reconciliations, budget projections, payroll support, and travel reimbursements.
- Advise departmental staff on allowable expenditures and support administrative needs such as student account holds and office supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience; an associate degree plus one year of experience, or a bachelor's degree, may substitute.
- Knowledge of accounting and computer-based accounting software and experience using an electronic financial management system.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, set objectives, remain flexible, and meet deadlines.
- Must be legally authorized to work full-time in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Associate or bachelor's degree.
- Four years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, or equivalent experience with an associate degree.
- Higher education or medical billing experience and knowledge of CPT codes.
