Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Cloud Security)

Salary: $118,960–$178,440 per year

What you will do

• Engineer automation-first solutions that reduce manual and repetitive application and cloud security work.
• Advise application and engineering teams on application security, cloud security, and secure-by-default architecture.
• Support security tools integrated into the software development lifecycle, including SAST, DAST, SCA, CSPM, and infrastructure vulnerability scanners.
• Monitor emerging threats and recommend tactical and strategic security initiatives.
• Implement remediation for security assessment findings and mentor other staff members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in development, infrastructure, or cybersecurity.
• 4+ years of experience with cloud technologies and CI/CD pipelines, including AWS, GitLab CI, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with security testing such as static and dynamic code analysis, software composition analysis, or penetration testing.
• Proficiency with development and scripting languages; Python and JavaScript are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, MIS, or a related field.
• Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and application and cloud security skills.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing secure-by-default architecture and automating manual processes.
• GIAC, ISC2, or other recognized cybersecurity certifications.
