TL;DR
Intermediate Appian Developer (Appian): Building and sustaining secure Appian applications for DAF mission and business processes with an accent on workflow design, SAIL interfaces, data modeling, and enterprise integrations. Focus on developing IL5/IL6 applications, implementing CUI/PII and role-based security, and resolving complex integration, performance, and production-support issues.
Location: On-site at Russell-Knox Building (RKB), Quantico, Virginia, United States
Salary: $76,000–$105,000 per year

What you will do
- Analyze user stories and requirements, participate in refinement and estimation, and contribute to solution design and technical planning.
- Develop Appian Process Modeler workflows using Smart Services, gateways, subprocesses, exception handling, and reusable patterns.
- Build responsive SAIL interfaces, forms, dashboards, reports, records, and reusable components.
- Configure Appian Records and Data Fabric, relational data models, CDTs, queries, and data-access logic.
- Integrate Appian with MariaDB, Oracle, SQL data sources, JSON services, Web APIs, and Connected Systems.
- Test, troubleshoot, document, deploy, and sustain applications while supporting UAT, releases, peer reviews, and production operations.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Advanced knowledge of Appian process design, Smart Services, gateways, subprocesses, exception handling, and reusable process patterns.
- Advanced SAIL development and UI/UX skills for interfaces, forms, reports, dashboards, and reusable components.
- Knowledge of Appian Records, Data Fabric, relational databases, CDTs, queries, data modeling, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience with IL5/IL6 development, CUI/PII protection, role-based and row-level security, and DAF compliance requirements.
Nice to have
- Appian Associate Developer or Senior Developer certification.
- Experience with DAF, DoW, IL5, or IL6 environments.
- Agile delivery, automated testing, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and application lifecycle management experience.
- Experience with reusable SAIL components, Appian performance tuning, and accessible UI design.
