RFP: Propcom+ Y4 Baseline & Outcome Survey for Scaling Last-Mile Delivery of Vaccines Intervention (Agricultural Research): Conducting baseline and outcome surveys of poultry and livestock farmers in Northern Nigeria, including quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting with an accent on quasi-experimental evaluation and climate-resilience outcomes. Focus on designing Kobo-compatible tools, recruiting and supervising enumerators, applying panel analysis and propensity score matching, and comparing intervention and non-intervention farmers.
Location: Nigeria; fieldwork across two intervention states in Northern Nigeria, covering at least three LGAs per state. Senior consulting team members must remain in each state during data collection.

What you will do
- Review programme, MERL, intervention, results-chain, and indicator-reference materials.
- Develop the research methodology, sampling strategy, work plan, questionnaires, qualitative tools, data analysis plan, and reporting templates.
- Conduct a 700-farmer baseline survey and a 1,500-farmer outcome survey, including 800 non-intervention comparison farmers.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and select data collectors, while reviewing data daily and coordinating feedback meetings.
- Collect LGA-level prices of livestock inputs and products through focus groups with lead farmers, and conduct KIIs with CAHWs/VPPs and FGDs with farmers.
- Analyse and present findings, prepare baseline and outcome reports, update deliverables based on review comments, and develop comparative PowerPoint presentations.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in social sciences or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, and technical writing skills.
- Evidence of at least one completed baseline survey in an agricultural setting in Northern Nigeria.
- Evidence of at least two additional socio-economic or livelihood surveys in agricultural settings in Northern Nigeria.
- Experience with quasi-experimental research, quantitative and qualitative data collection, and analysis; examples of previous work must include at least one QED study in agriculture.
- Ability to work in Nigeria and manage field activities across multiple LGAs and states.
