Scientist (Polyurethane)

What you will do

• Develop innovative product technologies and identify future step-out opportunities for the Polyurethanes business.
• Provide scientific consultancy and resolve non-routine technical problems for business development and regional business teams.
• Lead several R&D programs, manage milestones, and direct supporting research activities.
• Track competitive intellectual property literature and develop an aligned polyurethane IP portfolio.
• Prepare invention reports, technical reports, publications, and conference presentations.
• Provide supervision, coaching, and training to junior and temporary staff when appropriate.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent doctorate in polymer science or a related chemical field.
• Broad experience in polyurethane polymer synthesis and characterization.
• Advanced knowledge of polymer chemistry and physics, including polyurethane development and manufacturing.
• Skilled and experienced use of varied IT tools and techniques for design, analysis, and communication.
• Fluent English communication skills required, with the ability to work with international business teams and academics.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, influence multidisciplinary stakeholders, and travel globally.
