What you will do

  • Lead complex development projects for new and innovative filler metals used globally.
  • Drive product enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct advanced research and investigations to support future product development.
  • Approve raw materials and suppliers against technical and quality standards.
  • Develop technical documentation, production instructions, and control procedures.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Sourcing, Quality, Approvals, and Production Engineering, while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. or Master’s degree in Materials Science, Metallurgy, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in product development or research within welding, steel, or inorganic process industries.
  • Experience leading projects and collaborating across functions.
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Experience with Design of Experiments, Multivariate Data Analysis, big data, LLMs, and machine learning.

Nice to have

  • Swedish language skills.
  • IWE diploma.
  • Interest in sustainable transformation within a large industrial company.
