TL;DR
Presales Solutions Architect - Security Operations (SIEM/SOAR/EDR/XDR): Designing and presenting enterprise SOC architectures, demonstrations, POCs, and technical solutions for security operations clients with an accent on detection, incident response, threat hunting, and automation. Focus on translating complex SecOps capabilities into business value, developing reusable practice collateral, evaluating security vendors, and enabling engineering and sales teams.
Location: Remote within the United States; occasional travel of up to 20% may be required.
Salary: $180,000–$250,000 annual pay range, including base salary and bonus.

What you will do
- Design and deliver demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and technical presentations for enterprise SOC solutions, including SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, and threat intelligence platforms.
- Lead technical discovery sessions assessing security operations maturity across detection, response, threat hunting, and automation.
- Design target-state SOC architectures covering log ingestion, correlation rules, threat detection, incident response workflows, and integrations with CNAPP, IAM, and zero-trust environments.
- Translate complex SecOps concepts, MITRE ATT&CK mappings, and automated response playbooks into business-relevant value propositions.
- Develop practice collateral, evaluate and qualify vendors, and recommend platform adoption, consolidation, and legacy solution retirement.
- Conduct enablement sessions, identify new opportunities, collaborate with partner teams, and build relationships with clients and security technology partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in security operations, SOC architecture, or security engineering, including hands-on SIEM/SOAR/EDR/XDR design and implementation.
- Experience in presales, solutions architecture, or technical consulting within cybersecurity.
- Intermediate ability to design, build, and maintain security operations architectures and SOC solutions using enterprise security platforms.
- Understanding of SOC workflows, incident response runbooks, threat hunting, continuous improvement, and infrastructure components such as firewalls, load balancers, storage, and monitoring.
- Must be able to work remotely from the United States and travel occasionally up to 20%.
Nice to have
- Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, KQL, or SPL for detection rules, response playbooks, and integration workflows.
- CISSP, CCSP, CISM, Security+, CySA+, GIAC, CEH, SIEM platform, ITIL, cloud security, or Certified SOC Analyst certification.
